Vince Russo is gone from JCW, and the promotion didn’t waste any time explaining why he suddenly disappeared from the picture.
During the opening of the September 24, 2026 episode of JCW Lunacy, Russo announced that he had sold his 50 percent ownership stake in Juggalo Championship Wrestling to Violent J. That effectively wrote Russo off the show while giving JCW an on-screen explanation for his real-life departure.
The move comes after Russo announced that he was leaving JCW, revealing that he had been unhappy with the situation for months before deciding to walk away. Instead of having Russo simply vanish from television with no explanation, JCW worked his exit directly into the show. The story is now that Russo cashed out his half of the company, leaving Violent J with control and giving the promotion a clean way to move forward without him.
That’s about as straightforward as wrestling write-offs get. Russo’s real-life run with JCW is finished, and the company used the ownership angle to close the door on his character at the same time.
