Sheamus and his wife Isabella Revilla-Farrelly have been happily married since late 2022, but their relationship actually started in a place few fans would ever expect.
While speaking on the Wrestling-Wrestling Podcast, Isabella opened up about how she first met the WWE star and explained that their story began years before they eventually started dating. According to Isabella, the two first crossed paths at a flea market in Pennsylvania before reconnecting years later. After getting back in touch in 2017, the pair began talking regularly despite living in different states.
“So, we actually met at a flea market in Pennsylvania a long time ago. Um, we got back in touch in 2017, and then we had just been texting back and forth. Then I went to see him in Tampa, and then he came to see me in Jersey, and we were doing long distance for a while.”
The long-distance relationship eventually led to a major decision. Isabella Revilla-Farrelly explained that neither of them wanted to relocate to the other’s city permanently, which led them to find a compromise.
“Um, and then that’s kind of where Nashville came in, and we had to meet in the middle. Um, because I didn’t want to move down to Florida—it’s too far from my family for me. But Nashville was kind of the midpoint for us, and he wanted to get out of Florida as well.”
She added that Sheamus had spent a decade living in Florida and was ready for a change, while she also wanted a new environment. Although the couple built a home together in Nashville, Isabella eventually returned to her roots in New Jersey.
“He was living in Florida for like 10 years, and I also wanted a change of scenery. So that’s when Nashville came in. And we lived there for six years together. We built a life there together. And then obviously I had to move back to Jersey because I’m a Jersey girl through and through… But yeah, it all started at a flea market in Pennsylvania.”
The story offers a look into Sheamus’ personal life away from WWE. What began as a chance meeting at a Pennsylvania flea market eventually turned into a long-distance romance, a shared life in Nashville, and ultimately marriage. Nearly a decade after reconnecting, the couple continues to prove that some of the most unexpected meetings can lead to lasting relationships.
