Matt Cardona has probably told a lot of embarrassing stories over the years. This one involved John Cena’s house, a clogged toilet and a decision that Chelsea Green still can’t believe they made.

While appearing with Chelsea Green on Casuals With Katie Nolan, the couple was asked to share the most embarrassing moment they’ve experienced together. Cardona immediately thought back to a night they spent at Cena’s house after dinner in Tampa, where what should have been an uneventful overnight stay turned into a bathroom nightmare.

Cardona explained that he’d had too much to drink, so he and Green stayed at Cena’s place instead of driving home. Everything was fine until the next morning, when one trip to the bathroom created a problem he had no idea how to solve.

“We went to dinner with John Cena in Tampa, and I had too much to drink, so we slept at his house. And then the next morning, I took a s*** in his bathroom and clogged the toilet.”

Trying to defend himself, Cardona joked that the toilet paper deserved at least some of the blame. Chelsea couldn’t help but agree with that part of the story.

“I’m blaming it on the quality of the toilet paper. It was so thick and nice.”

Unfortunately for Cardona, blaming the toilet paper didn’t solve the actual problem. He desperately searched the house for a plunger, but after quietly checking bathroom after bathroom, he came up empty.

“It clogged the toilet. And I couldn’t find a plunger. So I’m, like, tiptoeing around this house. Like, if they saw this security footage, it looks like I’m going through things. I’m looking for a plunger.”

Chelsea remembered just how ridiculous the search had become, saying, “There’s gotta be, like, eight bathrooms.” Cardona laughed because that only made things more frustrating, as he said, “There’s so many bathrooms. I couldn’t find a plunger.”

By that point, flushing again wasn’t even an option because he was convinced the toilet would overflow. With Chelsea now awake, the two started throwing out increasingly desperate ideas in hopes of fixing everything before Cena ever found out.

“I couldn’t flush it again because I knew it was gonna overflow. So I’m trying to figure it out. Chelsea’s awake. We’re trying to figure it out.”

Chelsea admitted they really did try, saying, “I tried.” Cardona backed her up, saying, “I tried. I tried my best.” Then Chelsea dropped the detail that would make anyone completely lose it: they used a toothbrush.

“We used a toothbrush at one point.”

That immediately raised an obvious question—whose toothbrush was it? Chelsea admitted she honestly had no idea, and Cardona suddenly realized it very well could have belonged to Cena.

“Yeah, I dunno. Come to think of it, maybe.”

Eventually, the couple accepted defeat. Rather than waking everyone up to explain the situation, they quietly left the house, although Cardona did at least confess afterwards.

“We just left and I sent a text. I said, ‘Sorry bro, clogged your toilet.'”

Whether the WWE legend ever discovered exactly how the couple tried to fix the problem is another story. Either way, it’s safe to say this dinner at John Cena’s house turned into a memory neither Cardona nor Chelsea Green will ever live down.
