Harley Cameron just revealed she came very close to landing a major horror movie role, as she was almost cast as Nikki in Obsession.
The AEW star took to Instagram and uploaded her audition tape for the role of Nikki in Obsession, the Curry Barker-directed horror movie that has taken over the world. In the video, Cameron performed Nikki’s iconic diner scene and made it clear she was grateful just to have been in the running.
“Cat is out of the bag – I auditioned for obsession and was told it nearly was me who got cast , I wanted to share my passionate audition and thank @curry.barker for the opportunity and of course congratulations to @indenavarrette – apparently it came down to us two and I am honored 🙏 ”
That means Cameron was apparently one of the final names considered for the role, which ultimately went to Inde Navarrette. Even though she didn’t land the part, Cameron seemed proud of the audition and showed love to both Barker and Navarrette.
Cameron has already shown plenty of personality in AEW, but this gives fans another look at her acting side. Nearly landing a role in a major horror movie like Obsession is a pretty big deal, especially with the film becoming such a talked-about hit.
For now, Harley Cameron may not be Nikki in Obsession, but she clearly made a strong impression. And judging by the audition tape, this probably won’t be the last time fans see her name connected to acting roles outside the wrestling world.
