Grayson Waller celebrated his NXT Championship win in the most Grayson Waller way possible. WWE released off-air footage from NXT Heatwave showing the new champion pouring a drink into his shoe and drinking it in the middle of the ring.
Waller had just defeated Tony D’Angelo, Cruz Montana and Zilla Fatu in a chaotic Fatal Four-Way Match. He stole the win after Montana dropped D’Angelo with Spin the Block, throwing Montana outside before covering D’Angelo for the three-count.
The cameras kept rolling after the broadcast ended. With the NXT Championship over his shoulder and the Australian flag around him, Waller grabbed his gold shoe, filled it with a drink and performed his signature shoey for the crowd.
The celebration capped off a massive night for Waller, who walked into Heatwave as one of four challengers and left with the biggest title in NXT.
