WWE NXT Heatwave 2026 takes place live from the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, with six matches announced and championships up for grabs throughout the card.
Tony D’Angelo will put the NXT Championship on the line in a Fatal Four-Way Match against Grayson Waller, Cruz Montana, and Zilla Fatu. The match came together after Fatu crashed Waller and Montana’s No. 1 Contender’s Match before signing his NXT contract and immediately entering the title picture.
Kendal Grey will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Kelani Jordan. Jordan has grown increasingly frustrated after feeling overlooked for months, eventually forcing her way into a championship opportunity against Grey, who enters Heatwave at less than 100%.
Myles Borne will have a huge night ahead of him as he pulls double duty. Borne first defends the NXT North American Championship against Jackson Drake before teaming with Tavion Heights to defend the NXT Tag Team Championships against Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes of The Vanity Project.
Zaria, Wren Sinclair, and Kali Armstrong will also collide in a Winner Takes All match involving the NXT Women’s North American Championship and WWE Women’s Speed Championship. Jaida Parker and Nattie will round out the card with a Submission Match.
The show kicks off at 3:00 PM ET on The CW in the United States and is available for international fans on streaming platforms like Netflix. Vic Joseph and Booker T welcome viewers to NXT Heatwave and run down the card for tonight’s show.
North American Speed Unification Match: Wren Sinclair vs. Zaria vs. Kali Armstrong
NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria entered first, followed by WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong. All three women went at it as soon as the bell rang. Zaria took control early with running big boots to both opponents.
Armstrong and Zaria sent Sinclair outside before Armstrong dropped Zaria with a series of punches. Armstrong then attacked Sinclair as she tried to get back in the ring and sent Zaria outside. Armstrong went for a dive, but Sinclair grabbed her feet. They brawled around ringside until Armstrong ran into the steel steps after Sinclair moved out of the way.
aria hung Sinclair across the second rope before Armstrong put a sleeper on her from the top turnbuckle. The move broke down, and Sinclair hit a superplex but walked into a spinebuster from Armstrong.
Sinclair fired off strikes and hit a double crossbody from the top rope, but could not get a pinfall. Zaria took back control, but Sinclair countered a shoulder carry into a sleeper. Zaria then cannonballed into Armstrong with Sinclair still on her back.
After more back-and-forth action, Armstrong hit Sinclair with the Kali Connection and powerslammed Zaria. Sinclair later locked Zaria in the Final Wrench, but Armstrong pulled her outside and powerslammed her. Zaria then speared Armstrong, followed with an F5, and got the pinfall.
Winner: Zaria defeated Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong to become the Unified North American and Speed Champion.
NXT Tag Team Championships: Myles Borne and Tavion Heights vs. Vanity Project
Vanity Project received their NXT Tag Team Title rematch against Myles Borne and Tavion Heights. Jackson Drake will also get a future shot at Borne’s North American Championship. Borne and Baylor started the match before Smokes and Heights entered. Vanity Project took control by isolating Borne and working over his back. Borne fought through it and finally tagged Heights.
Heights threw both opponents around with suplexes and slams. He had Baylor in an ankle lock, but Lockwood distracted him at ringside and Smokes attacked his leg. Borne got back into the match and helped Heights hit stereo belly-to-belly suplexes. Heights set Baylor up for a powerbomb, and Borne added a dropkick.
The finish came after Baylor shoved Borne into Heights, knocking Heights off the apron. Baylor and Smokes then hit their double-team move on Borne for the win.
Winner: Vanity Project defeated Myles Borne and Tavion Heights to regain the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Submission Match: Nattie vs. Jaida Parker
Nattie attacked Jaida Parker from the start, but Parker followed her outside and they brawled up the entrance ramp. Nattie sent Parker into the ring apron and through the barricade before Parker fought back.
Back in the ring, they traded strikes and submission attempts. Nattie hit a discus clothesline and looked for the Sharpshooter, but Parker countered into an abdominal stretch .Karmen Petrovic distracted the referee while Lola Vice pulled Parker’s hair. Los Perros Del Mal then appeared at the top of the ramp, and Petrovic left with them.
Parker took control after a hip attack and a Rings of Saturn attempt. Nattie fought back with an ankle lock and the Sharpshooter, but Parker reached the ropes and escaped the ring. Vice superkicked Parker, leading Thea Hail to run out and chase her away. Parker then attacked Nattie’s knee and locked in the Sharpshooter. Nattie could not escape and tapped out.
Winner: Jaida Parker defeated Nattie.
NXT Women’s Championship: Kendal Grey vs. Kelani Jordan
Jordan got her NXT Women’s Championship match after repeatedly complaining about being overlooked. Kendal Grey finally got tired of hearing it and handed Jordan the contract herself during a promo segment.
The match started with both women trading control. Jordan knocked Grey outside with a dropkick and followed with a moonsault off the ropes. Grey answered with an uppercut and took Jordan back into the ring, where they traded armdrags, headscissors and a double clothesline before both popped back up.
Grey landed gutwrench takedowns and a dropkick, but Jordan went after Grey’s injured ear. Jordan hit a DDT through the ropes, followed by repeated elbows and strikes to the ear. She added a knee drop to Grey’s head and a shoulder breaker for near falls.
Grey eventually fought back with a moonsault and began throwing harder strikes. She hit a suplex, dropped her straps and landed a pair of overhead throws. Jordan countered a DDT into a Northern Lights suplex, then ripped the bandage from Grey’s ear and kept attacking the injury.
Grey caught Jordan with a powerslam and later escaped Jordan’s 450 splash attempt. She rolled Jordan into an ankle lock, but Jordan shoved her into the corner. Grey climbed to the top, only for Jordan to knock her off the ring post and send her head-first through the announce table.
Jordan brought Grey back inside and hit a split-legged moonsault. Grey rolled outside and looked unsteady, but Jordan kept targeting her, repeatedly slamming her head into the announce table and turnbuckles. Jordan stood on Grey’s head in the corner, landed another knee drop and continued punching her injured ear.
Grey fought off a superplex and hit a reverse Spanish Fly. Jordan answered with a cutter on the apron and a springboard forearm, but Grey escaped a powerbomb and landed a gutwrench knee for two. They traded more counters until Grey caught Jordan in another ankle lock.
Jordan escaped, superkicked Grey and landed a 450 splash, but Grey kicked out. Grey then hit Shades of Grey out of nowhere, but Jordan survived at 2.75. Grey locked in another ankle lock, only for Jordan to escape by stomping on her injured ear.
Jordan missed a moonsault, but she quickly recovered after Grey threw a back elbow. Jordan sent Grey head-first into the steel ring post, followed with a quick moonsault and got the three-count.
Winner: Kelani Jordan defeated Kendal Grey to become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
