Gingerbread Man Meme Goes Completely Off The Rails After WWE SmackDown

WWE accidentally created wrestling’s newest meme obsession Friday night after the Gingerbread Man funeral segment on WWE SmackDown completely took over social media.

What started as a ridiculous segment involving Trick Williams and Sami Zayn quickly turned into fans photoshopping the Gingerbread Man into some of wrestling’s most controversial and bizarre moments ever.

And yes… some of them got wild fast. One viral meme inserted the Gingerbread Man into Edge and Lita’s infamous live sex celebration segment. Another showed him standing with the Nation of Domination during one of their old WWE promos.

Another meme placing the Gingerbread Man next to Vince McMahon outside a courthouse. The meme even spread into AEW, with fans editing the Gingerbread Man into the infamous CM Punk and Tony Khan post-AEW media scrum. At this point, fans are basically inserting the Gingerbread Man into every weird wrestling moment they can find.

Ironically, the original segment was already total chaos. WWE aired fake AI-generated tribute videos for the Gingerbread Man, held a full funeral in the ring, and then revealed Lil Yachty under the mascot costume before the segment ended in a brawl.

Now the Gingerbread Man has somehow become wrestling’s newest internet mascot overnight.
