GCW Has Talked With AEW About Possibly Joining MyAEW

MyAEW keeps adding more independent wrestling companies, but GCW has not jumped over just yet.

That is interesting because GCW is still tied to Triller, and Triller has had its share of problems lately. AEW had its own issues with the platform, which helped lead to the creation of the MyAEW service in the first place. House of Glory has also announced that it is leaving Triller, leaving GCW as one of the bigger wrestling properties still on the service.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp spoke with GCW owner Brett Lauderdale, who admitted Triller has had issues. However, Lauderdale said GCW has not been affected the same way so far, and their relationship with Triller is still strong.

That does not mean MyAEW is off the table forever. Lauderdale confirmed he has had discussions with AEW about GCW possibly appearing on the MyAEW service down the line. No other details were given, so for now, it sounds like talks have happened, but nothing is locked in. Lauderdale also said he has only had one conversation with Tony Khan himself. That happened years ago at a UFC event, and it was brief.

GCW staying on Triller for now makes sense if the relationship is still working, but the MyAEW door being open is the real story here. AEW is building out its streaming world, independent promotions are starting to move around, and GCW could be a major piece if things ever line up.

Do you think GCW should stay with Triller, or would it make more sense for them to join MyAEW? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
