Alexa Bliss joining The Wyatt Sicks wasn’t just something fans cooked up online. WWE actually discussed making it happen from the faction’s earliest days, and Joe Gacy says they were initially told Bliss would eventually join them.
While speaking to Wombeezy, Gacy revealed that Bliss was already being discussed during some of The Wyatt Sicks’ first creative meetings. Bliss was still away from WWE television at the time, but the group was told the idea was to bring her in once she was ready to return.
“So there early on there were definitely talks of it. I think this is when she was still out for a little while. So I believe as early as one of our first meetings they, you know, basically said, ‘Yeah, like eventually when Alexa’s ready to come back, we’re going to have her join you guys.’”
There was one pretty big piece of history WWE had to figure out first. Bliss’ previous storyline with Bray Wyatt hadn’t exactly left them on good terms, and Gacy said there were questions about how that history would translate into her interacting with Uncle Howdy.
“And I think the conversation was like we didn’t know how the character of Uncle Howdy and Alexa were going to interact with each other. And I think that could have been part of the reason on why it took so long because, you know, realistically on TV the last time there was any interaction it wasn’t like a good one. Like it seemed like they were against each other a little bit.”
Joe Gacy felt WWE needed to address that rather than simply pretending the history never happened.
“So I feel like to me that had to been addressed and I don’t know if that’s overthinking it, but I would like to think that we should have addressed that.”
The idea didn’t disappear once Bliss was finally preparing to return. Gacy revealed another round of meetings took place, and this time The Wyatt Sicks actually pitched ideas for working with Bliss. She brought ideas of her own too.
“So it didn’t happen at first cuz she wasn’t even ready to come back just yet. And then eventually when the time came that she was returning we again had meetings and we actually, you know, had ideas for her being involved. We pitched some ideas. She actually had some ideas as well and I don’t know, they I guess decided to just go in another direction with her and us and she went one way but still referencing Bray while we’re over here, you know, obviously being the Wyatt 6.”
WWE ultimately went another direction. That decision left Gacy frustrated because Bliss and The Wyatt Sicks continued referencing Bray while sometimes appearing on the same shows without ever acknowledging each other.
“I just feel like there should have been some kind of interaction at least with her. Whatever that is, I don’t know, but like I just I do think it was a little silly that we’re on the same show. Sometimes matches right after each other and we just don’t address the fact that she was with Bray, turned on Bray, or anything.”
The missed opportunity stands out even more because Bliss herself wanted to explore that connection. Back in 2025, Bliss admitted she’d love to explore a reunion with Bray’s legacy, explaining that Wyatt always believed their characters would eventually reconnect in a major way.
Fans spent plenty of time waiting for Alexa Bliss and The Wyatt Sicks to finally cross paths. Bliss wanted to explore it. The Wyatt Sicks pitched ideas. WWE discussed it from some of the faction’s earliest meetings, but they just never pulled the trigger.
