Mike “Duke” Droese will have to wait even longer before his criminal case moves forward.
The former WWF star’s legal troubles continue to drag on, as court records show his latest hearing in Warren County, Tennessee has been postponed once again. The case stems from Droese’s May 2025 arrest on a charge of Attempted Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
After multiple delays over the past year, the latest hearing is now scheduled for July 8. Droese remains free on a $10,000 bond while the case works its way through the court system. More than a year has passed since his arrest, but there has still been no resolution.
Wrestling fans will remember Droese from his run as Duke “The Dumpster” Droese during the 1990s WWF boom period. While his full-time wrestling career largely ended in 2001, he continued making occasional appearances over the years, with his last known match taking place in 2023.
The current case isn’t the first time Droese has found himself facing serious legal issues. In 2013, he was indicted on three counts connected to the delivery of controlled substances after authorities alleged he sold oxycodone and buprenorphine to an undercover informant. At the time, Droese was working as a teacher and ultimately resigned from that position following the charges.
That case ended with Droese receiving a three-year sentence. He was ordered to serve 30 days in jail and pay $2,000 in fines and court costs.
Now, more than a decade later, Droese is once again facing serious allegations as prosecutors continue pursuing the current case. With another delay now in the books, all eyes turn to July 8 to see whether the matter finally moves forward or faces yet another postponement.
