Baron Corbin is back in WWE, and Donovan Dijak isn’t ruling out following him through the door. Give him the right circumstances, and Dijak would be open to getting The Skyscrapers back together.
Speaking on TheDaleStars, Dijak was asked about potentially reuniting with Corbin in WWE and didn’t shut it down. The only complication could be whether WWE can actually use the name they established together in MLW.
“I’d certainly be open to it under the right and correct circumstances. In terms of The Skyscrapers IP, I don’t know who owns that. I presume that MLW has some sort of ownership of it. I don’t know how maybe it expired and they renewed it or something like that. I have no idea but WWE obviously owns the WCW library and stuff like that. I’m not great with intellectual property law, but yeah, I’d certainly love to keep working with him.”
And Dijak feels like they barely scratched the surface together. Their partnership lasted around a year, but MLW’s schedule meant that translated into only a handful of actual matches.
“The amount of time we got to work together was unfortunately a little too brief. In that short amount of time, we were able to do some cool stuff, but the reality was it was only about a year, and MLW only runs about once a month, so we probably only had twelve or thirteen matches together.”
Dijak and Corbin first joined forces in MLW in 2025 and eventually captured the MLW World Tag Team Championship. The Skyscrapers name itself goes much further back, having famously been used by Sid Vicious and Dan Spivey during the WCW era, with The Undertaker also briefly part of the group as Mean Mark Callous.
Now Corbin is back where both men’s careers previously crossed paths. He returned to WWE on the July 10 edition of SmackDown before defeating Trick Williams at SummerSlam to capture the United States Championship.
That leaves Dijak on the outside, but he’s keeping every door open. Whether that means WWE, another company or something nobody sees coming, he doesn’t believe his partnership with Corbin necessarily ended in MLW.
“Yeah, I certainly hope there’s more in the future. I don’t know what company that might be with but I’m open to any possibility.”
Corbin has already found his way back to WWE and immediately landed championship gold. If WWE ever decides one Skyscraper isn’t enough, Dijak certainly sounds ready to pick up where they left off.
