TNA Wrestling has confirmed a surprise return for Destination X 2026, bringing back a familiar name who hasn’t competed for the promotion in more than four years.
On November 6, TNA Wrestling took to Twitter to announce that Rey Horus will be returning as an entrant in the World X-Cup at Destination X on November 15. The event will take place at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and will air live on pay-per-view and TNA+.
TNA shared the announcement alongside a promotional graphic featuring Horus and the Mexican flag, confirming his involvement in the upcoming tournament.
“BREAKING: @rey_horus makes his return to TNA as an entrant in the World X-Cup at #TNADestinationX, presented by @iHeartRadio, LIVE on PPV and TNA+ on November 15 from the Edmonton Expo Centre!”
This marks Horus’ first appearance in a TNA ring since August 2022, when he competed in a four-way match against Black Taurus, Laredo Kid, and Trey Miguel on an episode of iMPACT. Horus has built a reputation for his high-flying lucha libre style, making him a natural fit for the World X-Cup. His return also adds another international competitor to the tournament as TNA prepares for one of its biggest upcoming events.
While TNA has confirmed Horus’ participation, the promotion has not revealed whether his appearance will lead to a longer run with the company or if he is returning specifically for the World X-Cup. With Destination X approaching on November 15, Horus’ return gives viewers another reason to keep an eye on the tournament and what TNA has planned for its international competitors.
