Ava is not giving fans some big dramatic WWE exit story, because according to her, that is not what happened.

During her appearance on The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi, the former WWE NXT GM opened up about why she moved on from the company after nearly six years in the system. She had been working as Ava on NXT television, where she played the on-screen General Manager while still training behind the scenes.

Before the exit talk came up, Ava explained that she was still training even though her TV role was not built around wrestling matches. She also joked about one spot where she got hit by a door during a backstage brawl. Then the host asked what made her decide to leave. Ava did not point to one blow-up, one meeting, or one ugly backstage moment. She said it was bigger than that.

“Oh man, it was… there wasn’t one particular thing unfortunately. It was like a lot of things and had been something that was on my mind for a while.”

She also made it clear she is not trashing WWE on the way out. Ava said she still appreciates the run and what it meant to her, especially after growing up wanting to be part of the wrestling business.

“And like I am so grateful for my time at WWE. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I did. I got to live out the dream that me always wanted to.”

Still, the dream had an expiration date. Ava said she reached a point where she needed something new, and she is not sitting around second-guessing herself.

“But I think it was just, it was time for something new. It was time for something different. And I really… I don’t regret leaving and I’m really happy now.”

That may not be the messy answer some fans wanted, but it is the one she gave. No nuclear backstage story. No finger-pointing. No fake mystery. Just a run that ended because she felt it was time to go.

Ava’s WWE run came with pressure from the start because of her family name, but she still got to step into the business and carve out her own chapter as NXT GM. Now she is making it clear that chapter is closed, at least for now, and she is good with the decision.

What do you think about Ava saying there was no single reason she left WWE? Do you think she should return someday, or is she better off moving on for good? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
