Chelsea Green’s WWE Crown Jewel celebration already ended in disaster thanks to Tiffany Stratton, but apparently plenty of people watching weren’t exactly blown away by the surprise. Some fans immediately took to social media to rip WWE’s decision and argue that they saw the cash-in coming from a mile away.
Following Stratton’s successful Money in the Bank cash-in on Green, several fans on Twitter called out WWE’s creative direction. One questioned why the company went with Stratton instead of having Roxanne Perez win the Money in the Bank match and eventually cash in on Liv Morgan.
“You guys chose this over Roxanne cashing in on Liv….”
Another fan’s issue was how predictable the entire thing felt, questioning why WWE creative couldn’t have gone in a different direction.
“Can’t creative bring up something different? This was predictable”
That sentiment was echoed by another fan, who claimed Stratton winning the briefcase essentially gave away where the story was heading from the beginning. They included a bored Bugs Bunny GIF to drive the point across.
“The moment Tiffany touched the briefcase at MITB we knew this was happening”
Another fan went straight for the sarcasm, mocking the idea that Stratton’s Crown Jewel cash-in was supposed to come as a major shock.
“Omg what a shocking cash in, this was sooooooo unpredictable. I did not see this coming at all 🙄😂”
Stratton’s cash-in came immediately after Green defeated Liv Morgan to capture the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Green had just delivered an emotional speech about her 13-year wrestling journey when Morgan attacked her from behind and Stratton seemingly arrived to make the save.
Green even helped Stratton deal with Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, only to find out she was actually Tiffy’s target. Stratton cashed in the contract, hit the exhausted Green with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and walked out of Riyadh as the new WWE Women’s Champion.
The title change certainly gave Crown Jewel another major moment, but these reactions show that not everyone bought into the shock factor WWE delivered with Stratton’s cash-in. For some fans, the bigger problem wasn’t Tiffany becoming champion — it was feeling like they already knew exactly where the briefcase was heading long before she finally used it.
Did you think Tiffany Stratton’s Money in the Bank cash-in was too predictable, or was Chelsea Green still the right person for her to cash in on? Let us know what you think in the comments.
