John Cena’s latest Instagram post did not go over well with a lot of fans, as he many draggeed him for posting about Elon Musk.
John Cena took to Instagram and simply uploaded a photo of Elon Musk after Musk officially became the world’s first trillionaire following SpaceX’s stock debut. As usual, Cena did not add a caption or explain the meaning behind the post.
That didn’t stop fans from reacting, and many of them were not happy that Cena posted Musk at all. One fan immediately questioned the move: “Why did he post this?” Another fan wanted the post gone altogether: “Delete this.”
Others saw it as a bad look for Cena, with one fan calling it a rare miss: “Rare cena L” Another fan was simply shocked by the post: “john cena wtf ???” Some fans also questioned why Cena would choose to post Musk, especially given how much criticism the billionaire receives online: “Why would you do that?”
One fan pushed back on Cena’s usual mysterious Instagram style and said this one felt different, claiming it was tone deaf: “I get that your posts are supposed to be ‘mysterious’ but come on John. This is beyond tone deaf”
Cena’s Instagram has always been strange by design, with random photos posted without context and left for fans to interpret. This time, though, the Elon Musk post hit a nerve, and the comment section quickly turned into fans calling him out.
Cena may have meant nothing by it, but the timing made the reaction much louder. Posting Musk right after the trillionaire news was always going to get attention — and in this case, a lot of that attention was negative.
