Jade Cargill has spent plenty of time brushing off people who say she “can’t wrestle.” One ugly moment with Charlotte Flair just handed those critics some fresh ammunition.
During WWE’s August 20 live event in London, Ontario, Cargill attempted to hit Jaded on Flair, but things went badly almost immediately. Cargill struggled to get Charlotte properly lifted on the first attempt before eventually completing the move with an awkward-looking landing.
The botch certainly didn’t slip past the crowd. As soon as it happened, a woman could clearly be heard yelling exactly what plenty of people watching the clip were already thinking: “You botched that!”
Once footage of the moment started circulating online, Cargill got destroyed from there. One fan questioned how anyone could continue praising her in-ring work.

Another was considerably harsher about WWE’s product as a whole.
“How do people still watch this s***? The men stink and the woman have always been terrible.”
Others went directly after Cargill’s reputation for mistakes in the ring, with one labeling her the “botch queen.”
“Typical Jade. Always the botch queen”
Another fan wanted her gone from WWE altogether: “Send her back to AEW. She sucks.” One more treated another Cargill mistake as anything but surprising.
“Another botch from @Jade_Cargill ?? My shocked face 😐”
The timing makes the reaction particularly rough for Cargill. Back in March, she directly addressed the criticism that has followed her throughout her rise, including the constant claims that she can’t wrestle.
“I’ve been called ‘Jadeberg.’ They tell me I can’t wrestle. The kill shot is, ‘You can’t wrestle.’ Just say it — ‘Well, you can’t wrestle.’ That’s all you can say.”
Cargill wasn’t bothered then, pointing instead to her championships, billboards and success as proof that the criticism hadn’t stopped her from getting where she is. Five months later, one rough attempt at her finisher has brought that exact criticism roaring back.
