A fake WWE statement claiming Jacob Fatu was fined and forced to apologize over his RAW F-bomb is spreading on Instagram. The entire statement is fabricated, and WWE never released it.
The Instagram account Highspot Podcast shared a graphic labeled “Official WWE Statement” and claimed WWE had apologized to fans following Fatu’s outburst. The fake statement also said Fatu had been fined, disciplined and forced to take responsibility for his conduct. None of that is true.
WWE did not issue the statement, announce a fine or release an apology from Fatu. The graphic was made to look like a legitimate company announcement and then posted as “breaking” news in a cheap attempt to generate engagement and spread false information.
The real incident happened during the taping for the August 31, 2026 episode of WWE RAW. Fatu came out after The Usos started brawling with Royce Keys and OTM, helped chase them away and climbed onto the announce table. Fatu then shouted an NSFW line into the microphone as the crowd erupted, “Motherfcker!”*
WWE immediately cut Fatu’s microphone at the taping. When the taped segment aired on RAW, the company bleeped the profanity and appeared to trim down some of his time on the announce table. That was the extent of WWE’s response shown publicly. There was no company statement condemning Fatu, no announced fine and no apology attributed to him.
The fake graphic picked up thousands of likes and hundreds of comments, showing how quickly made-up wrestling news can spread when it is dressed up to resemble a company announcement. In this case, WWE censored Fatu’s language on television—but the claim that it fined him and apologized to fans is completely false.
