Masha Slamovich is back in the mix with a major wrestling promotion, and she wasted absolutely no time making an impact.
Slamovich made her MLW debut during the company’s Fightland and Fusion tapings on September 12, according to PWInsider. The former TNA Knockouts World Champion didn’t just show up either — she defeated Shotzi Blackheart to capture the MLW Women’s Championship during her very first night with the promotion.
The appearance marks a major turn for Slamovich after her TNA run came to an abrupt halt last year. Slamovich was accused of domestic violence by her former partner AKIRA in September 2025 after screenshots, messages and photos were posted online. Slamovich later addressed the accusations herself, describing the relationship as “toxic and mutually destructive” while taking responsibility for her own actions and apologizing for the role she played.
The fallout hit her wrestling career almost immediately. Slamovich was scheduled to challenge for the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Victory Road, but TNA pulled her from the event and she was also removed from the company’s upcoming television tapings. Things became even clearer in December when Slamovich was removed from TNA’s official roster page. At the time, she had already been gone from TNA programming for months while continuing to take independent bookings in the United States and overseas.
That removal did not necessarily mean TNA had slammed the door shut forever. Sports Illustrated’s John Alba later said Slamovich was no longer with the company, but TNA leadership planned to reconnect with her and reassess the situation in 2026. Instead, Slamovich has now surfaced in MLW — and she walked straight into a championship.
Going from being completely off TNA television to debuting in MLW and leaving the tapings with the Women’s Championship is a pretty dramatic swing for Slamovich. Now the question is what MLW has planned for her after putting a title around her waist on night one.
