Ethan Page just found himself face-to-face with the exact kind of wrestling influencer drama he doesn’t seem to have much patience for. The WWE star was confronted by wrestling influencer Heel Girlfriend on October 25, and Page made it pretty clear he wasn’t expecting to get yelled at in front of everyone.

The awkward exchange started when Heel Girlfriend questioned why Page was even there. She didn’t exactly give him the warmest welcome either.

“I don’t care about Ethan Page. What are you even doing here?”

Page immediately pushed back and explained that he’d been asked to make content with them. Apparently, he thought the interaction was going to be a whole lot friendlier than what he actually got.

“I’ll be honest with you. You asked me to do content. I thought you were gonna compliment me and not have your girlfriend scream at my face in front of a bunch of people trying to enjoy the pay-per-view.”

Page clearly wasn’t interested in sticking around and arguing about it. Instead, he said the whole situation had embarrassed him before deciding to walk away.

“I am thoroughly embarrassed right now. I’m outta here, pal.”

The timing makes the exchange pretty funny considering Page had plenty to say about wrestlers getting caught up in drama with fans just last month. During a September appearance on Inside the Ring, he argued that wrestlers today are “a lot softer” because of how easily some of them get dragged into arguments with people online.

“I think trusting people now is probably safer than back in the day, but more people are a lot softer now.”

Page specifically couldn’t understand why wrestlers spend their time responding to fans who criticize them. He questioned why they don’t put that same energy toward the people actually showing them support.

“What are you responding to fans for? What the hell? Why don’t you respond to the ones that compliment you? Only the ones that hurt your feelings, that tell you the truth, are you the one you’re giving them attention?”

This time, Page didn’t have the luxury of simply ignoring a post on his phone because the confrontation was happening right in front of him. He still didn’t stick around for a prolonged argument, though, choosing to call the whole thing embarrassing and make his exit instead.
