El Grande Americano made his return to WWE television, but his comeback didn’t exactly end with him celebrating. The masked star resurfaced during the WWE RAW episode for September 14, 2026 in Mexico City, only to get overwhelmed once The Judgment Day decided to crash the party.
RAW opened with Rey Mysterio bringing out Stephanie Vaquer, but Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan quickly interrupted the celebration and started running their mouths.
Dominik eventually suggested a mixed tag team match with himself and Morgan facing Rey and Vaquer, but Adam Pearce wasn’t about to clear Mysterio with his injured neck. That’s when El Grande Americano suddenly showed up.
The Mexico City crowd erupted as Americano made his first RAW appearance since May, stepping in as Vaquer’s partner and immediately getting thrown into the fight.
For a moment, it actually looked like Americano’s return was going to end with a victory. He and Vaquer started closing in on Dominik and Morgan, but The Judgment Day had other plans.
The group stormed the match and completely flipped the situation, using the numbers game to wipe out Americano and Vaquer. By the time the chaos ended, Dominik and Morgan were the ones standing tall while Americano’s big comeback had turned into a beatdown.
WWE gave El Grande Americano a huge return moment in Mexico City, but The Judgment Day made sure he didn’t get to enjoy it for very long. After months away from RAW, Americano came back to a massive reaction and walked straight into a gang attack.
