EC3 wasn’t supposed to become one of wrestling’s biggest talking points because of the way he looked walking to the ring. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened.

A video from an ASW Canada event started making the rounds online Monday, and it didn’t take long for concern to replace conversation. Instead of focusing on EC3’s challenge for the promotion’s Heavyweight Championship, fans zeroed in on the former TNA World Champion’s entrance, with many saying he appeared to be struggling just to make it down the aisle.

The footage appears to show EC3 limping toward the ring with noticeably stiff movement. Some fans also claimed his hands appeared to be shaking during parts of the entrance, while others pointed to what they believed was a lot of weight gain compared to how he looked just a while ago. The reactions came almost immediately as one fan took to Twitter and said:

“The roid belly is obvious but him trying to hide his hands shaking by going into his character pose is scary as hell. Hope someone close to him reaches out and gets him the help he needs.” Another fan admitted the clip went from funny to unsettling in a matter of seconds.

“Started off laughing at the little Giant Baba gait he hits in those first few seconds then the video kept going and gradually none of it seemed so funny anymore.”

Someone else simply hoped the former TNA World Champion was alright: “Rhinestones falling off, beer belly, limping like he’s missing a testicle. I sincerely hope he’s okay 😭”

At this point, there’s no indication that EC3 is dealing with any specific medical issue, and he has not publicly commented on the viral video or the speculation surrounding it. The timing has only added to the discussion.

EC3 returned to wrestling earlier this year with appearances for both TNA and JCW, but he hasn’t been seen on TNA television since April, making this one of his first notable appearances in months. Whatever the explanation ends up being, the match quickly became secondary. The entrance was all anyone could talk about.
