Sting may have nominated Dustin Rhodes for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, but he probably didn’t expect Dustin to get ambushed before he could even finish his speech.

Rhodes took to Instagram and shared his own Ice Bucket Challenge video on social media, and things went off the rails almost immediately. He barely managed to introduce himself before the first bucket of ice water came crashing down.

“Hey guys, Dustin Rhodes here. So it looks like I’ve been nom—oh my God. So what I was saying is, it looks like I’ve been…”

Before Dustin Rhodes could finish that sentence, another bucket hit him, and he made it clear he was getting fed up already.

“OH! Give me a second! Let me get it out before you throw it on me again. Jeez, you got another one?”

After laughing off the interruptions, Rhodes finally managed to explain why he was taking part in the challenge, revealing that Sting had nominated him while taking a moment to send his support to Rebel.

“I was nominated by Sting for the Rebel Ice Bucket Challenge. ALS is a terrible disease, and Rebel, we love you very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for your comfort and for God to heal you, and I’m doing this for you.”

Rhodes knew his time was running out, so he rushed through the final part of the challenge before another bucket found its target. Right on cue, the third bucket crashed down.

“But before I get doused again for the third time, I want to nominate my daughter Dakota Runnels, Kaitlyn Borden, DDP, and last but not least, my brother Cody Rhodes. Ooh, that one was pretty cold.”

The chaotic video came just days after Sting kicked off Dustin’s involvement by nominating him during his own ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. With Dustin now completing the challenge and passing it on to Dakota Runnels, Kaitlyn Borden, DDP and Cody Rhodes, the wrestling community continues to rally around Rebel while helping raise awareness for ALS.
