Drew McIntyre isn’t buying Cody Rhodes’ perfect hero act—and he just compared him to one of TV’s most sinister villains.

In an interview with the Edinburgh News, McIntyre unloaded on the man he’s set to face for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. According to Drew, Cody Rhodes is living in a fantasy world, and the truth is far uglier than fans realize.

“Dude is actually a terrible guy when it comes down to behind the scenes, but he believes he’s the good guy, just like Homelander.”

The comparison came after watching The Boys with his wife, where Drew suddenly saw Cody in a whole new light.

“I was like, oh my God, that’s good. It’s not even a case of like, oh, he’s Homelander and similar, you know, like for his personality, et cetera. He literally has blonde hair, has the same outfit, and he genuinely believes he’s the hero of the story, just like Homelander. It was absolutely unbelievable.”

He capped it off with one of the most brutal digs yet:

“I was watching the show, like, oh my God, that’s him. How can people not see this? This is absolutely insane. How am I the bad guy, even though I’ve been screwed constantly?”

McIntyre also took aim at Cody’s now-famous “finish the story” slogan, claiming it was his story first. While Cody got his WrestleMania moment, Drew says he was the one who carried the company during the pandemic era—without fans, without glory, and without lasting recognition.

“I finished the story first, and Cody followed in my footsteps… I haven’t had my title reign in front of fans yet.”

Drew McIntyre isn’t just coming for Cody’s title—he’s coming for his entire narrative. With comparisons to a supervillain and claims of stolen glory, McIntyre’s not playing the respectful challenger anymore. He’s peeling back the curtain, and if he has his way at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the WWE Universe might finally see Cody Rhodes for who he really is.
