Drew McIntyre has been away from WWE television since WrestleMania 42, and while fans are still waiting for him to make his return, it doesn’t sound like he’s in any rush to reveal when that’ll happen.

Speaking to OutKick, the former WWE Champion was asked when fans can expect to see him back in the ring. McIntyre made it clear he’s staying ready for whenever WWE calls, but right now his attention remains on his growing Hollywood career.

“We’ll see. You know, I’m as big as I’ve ever been. I’m 285 right now. I’m 10 pounds bigger than I was for Agent of Shadows. I’m in the best shape of my life.”

McIntyre pointed to the training clip he recently shared of himself running the ropes, saying the response showed just how much interest there still is in his eventual comeback. Even so, he stopped short of dropping any hints about when that day might actually come.

“I posted myself running the ropes the other day, you know, keeping myself in ring shape. I’m always ready to go. I think it got, like, over eight million views just bouncing off the ropes a few times — across my social media platforms.”

As for when fans will see him back under the bright lights of WWE, McIntyre wasn’t about to spoil anything. Instead, he reminded everyone that he’s currently focused on making the most of the acting opportunities coming his way.

“But right now, I’m focused on ‘Hollywood Drew.’ So, we’ll see. We will see. I’m not giving anything away.”

That lines up with everything that’s been happening over the past few months. McIntyre has been filming multiple movies, recently landed a voice role in Disney’s upcoming animated film Hexed, and has =been the subject of internal WWE discussions about a return that could see him move to Monday Night RAW.

For now, though, it sounds like McIntyre is happy juggling both worlds. He’s making it clear he’s physically ready whenever WWE needs him, but until the timing is right, “Hollywood Drew” is the version fans will be seeing the most.

When Drew McIntyre finally makes his WWE return, should he head back to RAW or stay on SmackDown? Let us know in the comments below.
