Dragon Lee just made a pretty interesting move behind the scenes, and the timing is hard to ignore.

With Lee’s WWE contract situation already becoming a talking point, Nick LoPiccolo revealed that the former NXT North American Champion recently changed agents — and not long ago either.

While speaking to Pro Wrestle Times, LoPiccolo jumped into a discussion about Dragon Lee after another wrestling media personality claimed Lee’s representation had contacted him roughly a year ago to clarify details about his contract. That’s when LoPiccolo dropped the new information.

“I’m not going to say anything, but Dragon Lee has a different agent than he did a year ago as of like two weeks ago. Not me.”

That means Lee apparently changed representation around two weeks ago, putting the move right in the middle of all the current questions surrounding his WWE future. LoPiccolo didn’t name the new agent or explain why Lee made the switch. He also made sure to shut down any idea that he was the one who landed the job.

The context matters here because the conversation started over an older claim that Dragon Lee’s agent had previously contacted a wrestling reporter to explain that Lee’s deal was not expiring in 2025. LoPiccolo’s response was essentially that the person handling Lee’s business back then is no longer his current representative. And the timing couldn’t be much more interesting.

Dragon Lee and his brother, Dralistico, are both nearing the end of their current contracts, while the two also recently filed a trademark for “Hermanos Lee.” That move already had fans wondering what the brothers might be setting up next.

There have also been signs that WWE wants to keep Lee around. During a recent WrestleVotes Q&A, JoeyVotes and TC pointed to Lee’s recent push, his work alongside AJ Styles and WWE’s growing relationship with AAA as reasons the company would have interest in re-signing him.

Self Made Pro also recently said he does not expect Dragon Lee to leave WWE and claimed people within the company don’t anticipate him looking elsewhere once his current deal expires.

Still, none of that changes the newest development: Dragon Lee has apparently switched agents just as his contract situation is starting to get real attention. That doesn’t automatically mean an exit is coming, and LoPiccolo never connected the agent change directly to WWE negotiations. But changing representation at this stage of the game is definitely something worth watching as Lee’s next move starts to come into focus.
