Dragon Lee isn’t going anywhere after all. After weeks of questions about his expiring WWE contract, the luchador has reportedly worked things out with the company — and he could be sticking around for another five years.
According to PWInsider, WWE and Lee have come to terms on a new contract. The belief is that Lee actually signed a five-year deal, although that exact length hasn’t been confirmed yet. If that five-year number is accurate, WWE clearly isn’t looking at Lee as someone it plans on letting slip away anytime soon. It also shuts down a lot of the speculation that started building as his previous contract got closer to the finish line.
There had been some reason for fans to wonder what Lee might do next. His brother Dralistico is also nearing the end of his AEW deal, and the two recently filed a trademark for “Hermanos Lee,” which naturally got people wondering whether something involving the brothers could be coming.
Behind the scenes, though, WWE apparently wasn’t nearly as worried. Self Made Pro reported back in September that the expectation within the company was that Lee wouldn’t be looking for the exit.
“I’ll say this. I don’t think he’s going to leave WWE.”
That wasn’t just a guess either. The indication he received was that people inside WWE weren’t expecting Lee to start looking around once his deal was up.
“I was given the indication that, like, people don’t anticipate Dragon Lee looking to leave WWE.”
Now it looks like they had good reason to feel that way. Lee originally signed with WWE in December 2022 on a three-year deal before getting a one-year extension in 2023 after making his way onto the main roster.
He’s also spent a good chunk of 2026 chasing the Intercontinental Championship. Lee has challenged for the title four times this year, including another unsuccessful shot on the October 19 episode of Monday Night RAW.
So after all the questions about whether Dragon Lee might hit free agency, WWE appears to have taken that possibility right off the table. If the reported five-year term checks out, Lee won’t just be staying — WWE has apparently locked him down for the long haul.
