Any hope of a Rey and Dominik Mysterio reunion just took a serious hit—and this update makes it clear where things stand.

While fans continue to hold onto the idea of a reunion between Dominik and his father Rey Mysterio, Dominik makes it clear that’s not happening anytime soon. Despite their history as the first-ever father-son tag team champions back in 2021, things have completely changed since Dominik’s betrayal—and now he’s making his stance crystal clear.

Speaking on The Burn Factory on April 15, 2026, Dominik was directly asked if he’d ever consider teaming with Rey again. His answer wasn’t vague, and it wasn’t diplomatic as it was evident he has no intention of teaming up with his dad again.

“Not doing it. Not doing it—on that. I think it’s time to step away a little bit, and there needs to be a lot of things to happen on his end for that to happen, which I don’t think will happen. So we’re definitely going to chill on that—definitely chill on that. No budge at all.”

That response stands in sharp contrast to what Rey Mysterio has said in the past. In a 2024 interview with Peter Rosenberg, Rey admitted he still hoped for a reconciliation, saying he would love to reconnect and end things on good terms—but also acknowledged that people change and that it might not be possible.

Now, with Dominik completely rejecting the idea, that gap between them looks wider than ever. For Dominik, this isn’t just storyline tension—it’s a hard stance. He’s not interested in revisiting the past, and he’s putting the responsibility entirely on Rey if anything were to ever change.

Right now, there’s no tease, no “maybe down the line”—just a flat-out no. At this point, the reunion fans keep hoping for feels further away than ever, and unless something major shifts, Dominik isn’t planning on going back to where it all started.

Do you think Dominik Mysterio is right to shut the door completely, or should he reconsider teaming with Rey Mysterio one more time? Let us know your thoughts.
