Karl-Anthony Towns may have gotten the last laugh at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but Dominik Mysterio is already talking about payback—and he knows exactly who he might call to get it.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Dominik reacted to the unforgettable moment that saw the New York Knicks star chokeslam him through a table inside Madison Square Garden. Rather than complain about the celebrity involvement, “Dirty Dom” admitted the spot instantly became one of the biggest moments of his career.
“I mean, I don’t know if I’d put it that way as one of the great honors of my career because I’ve had some moments at MSG, but that one would be a top-five moment for me. Getting chokeslammed through a table by an NBA champion at MSG, that’s insane. Never did I expect it to happen, but now we’re here. Dirty Dom has done it all.”
Dominik laughed as he recalled just how committed Towns was to the spot, saying he knew exactly what was coming the second the NBA champion grabbed him by the throat.
“He came in ready, man. As soon as he goozled me, I felt that he was… like, the energy he was bringing to that, he was ready to put me through that table.”
Then came the warning. Dominik made it clear he isn’t ruling out getting even with Towns, pointing out that Judgment Day has strength in numbers. And if the NBA star plans on sticking his nose in the group’s business again, Dominik says he has his own giant waiting in the wings.
“Revenge? Never say never. There’s a number game with The Judgment Day. In AAA, I aligned myself with Omos. If Kat wants to keep getting involved in Judgment Day business, I might have to make a phone call to Omos.”
The threat comes after Towns made a surprise appearance during Dominik and JD McDonagh’s No Disqualification Match against Danhausen at Saturday Night’s Main Event. After emerging from Danhausen’s bizarre cloning machine, the Knicks star stormed the ring, planted JD McDonagh with a chokeslam and then drove Dominik through a table before Danhausen capitalized to pick up the victory.
Whether Dominik is joking or planting the seeds for another celebrity showdown remains to be seen. But if Karl-Anthony Towns decides to step back into Judgment Day territory, “Dirty Dom” says he already has a seven-foot response on speed dial.
