Lawler mentions that a wrestler’s theme music is vitally important to that character’s presentation. His WWE theme is actually a very old marching theme that’s been around for years, but in 2011 WWE composed a new theme for him. He walked out to the ring to his new theme just one time and he hated it. He asked for his old music back right away and WWE obliged.

A listener writes into the show and asks Lawler if he can recall any storylines in or outside of WWE that fans would have really loved if the plans weren’t scrapped in the end. Lawler says that probably happens all the time in WWE.

On one occasion not long ago WWE called him prior to a television taping in Memphis, suggesting that they film a scene in Lawler’s bar where Sheamus & Cesaro would get physical with Rollins & Ambrose. That ultimately didn’t happen and Lawler appeared on Smackdown for a King’s Court segment with Dolph Ziggler instead.

Lawler informs that back in the day he actually talked to Elvis Presley’s father on multiple occasions, suggesting that he and Elvis have a martial arts versus wrestling match in the Mid South Coliseum. Elvis’ father mentioned that Elvis wasn’t in the best of shape at the time but he was about to start training again for his upcoming tour, and when that tour finished they’d be able to have their match.
