Dexter Lumis isn’t wasting any time moving on from WWE. Just months after confirming his release, the former Wyatt Sicks member has already wrestled his first match since leaving the company, returning to his pre-WWE identity of Samuel Shaw.
Lumis revealed the news himself on Instagram, sharing photos from Atomic Legacy Wrestling’s Star Spangled Slammer 10 event along with a simple message: “Back to work. @atomiclegacywrestling.”
The comeback also featured a familiar face. Reunited with fellow former Wyatt Sicks member Joe Gacy, Shaw stepped back into the ring to face Martin Stone and Ripper Zbyszko. The reunion proved to be a successful one, with Shaw and Gacy picking up the victory in Shaw’s first match since his WWE departure.
It’s a notable turnaround after the emotional message Lumis shared when his WWE run officially came to an end back in April. At the time, he reflected on what the Wyatt Sicks meant to him, thanking his stablemates, the WWE locker room and the fans who embraced the faction while paying tribute to Bray Wyatt’s lasting influence.
“Won’t make this too sappy, but I love each and every member of this group. The task we took on together was truly monumental. I won’t look back with any regrets. To the fans of @wyattsicks, we truly felt Bray’s presence each and every time we made our entrance. I would like to think most of you did too…”
Now, instead of looking back, Shaw is looking ahead. His return under the Samuel Shaw name shows he’s already rebuilding his career outside WWE, and reuniting with Joe Gacy for his very first post-WWE match is sure to catch the attention of fans who followed the Wyatt Sicks. Whether this was a one-night reunion or the beginning of something bigger remains to be seen, but one thing is already clear—Samuel Shaw is officially back in business.
