Deonna Purrazzo gave fans their first real update after that scary ROH injury, and it does not look like she walked away untouched.

Purrazzo took to Instagram and showed her right foot in a walking boot while using crutches. So yeah, the injury from her ROH Women’s Pure Title defense against Steph De Lander was definitely real. She kept the message short and sweet: “Thanks for all the love & positivity✨🤍”

The injury happened during the latest ROH TV tapings in Jacksonville after a spot on the floor went wrong. The match was stopped immediately and ruled a no contest. A fan in attendance, Jacob Cohen, said Purrazzo had to be helped to the back.

“Deonna got hurt on a spot on the floor. The match was ruled a no contest and Deonna was helped to the back. Hopefully she’s ok.”

There is still no official word on exactly what the injury is or how long Deonna Purrazzo could be out, but a boot and crutches are never a great sign, as she could be out for a long time depending on the severity of her injury.

Purrazzo has been a major part of ROH’s women’s division since becoming the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion at Final Battle. She beat Billie Starkz in the tournament finals and has already defended the title several times. Now ROH has to wait and see how serious this is. The Virtuosa clearly has support from fans, but the big question is how long she will be forced to stay out of the ring.
