Deonna Purrazzo’s ROH Women’s Pure Title defense took a scary turn, and the match had to be stopped.

During the latest ROH TV tapings in Jacksonville, Purrazzo defended the ROH Women’s Pure Championship against Steph De Lander. Things went wrong during a spot on the floor, and the match was called off right there. A fan in attendance, Jacob Cohen, said Purrazzo was hurt and helped to the back.

“Deonna got hurt on a spot on the floor. The match was ruled a no contest and Deonna was helped to the back. Hopefully she’s ok.”

That is never what anyone wants to see. There is no official update yet on how badly Purrazzo was hurt, so now everyone is waiting to find out whether this was just a scare or something that could keep her out of action.

Deonna Purrazzo has been carrying major momentum in ROH. She became the first-ever ROH Women’s Pure Champion at Final Battle last December after beating Billie Starkz in the tournament finals.

Since then, she has defended the title six times and picked up several Proving Ground wins along the way. Her run includes victories over Trish Adora, Giselle Shaw, and Isla Dawn, so this injury scare comes at a rough time for ROH’s women’s division.

For now, the big thing is Deonna’s condition. ROH can figure out the title picture later, but fans are hoping The Virtuosa avoided anything serious after being helped to the back.

What do you think ROH should do if Deonna Purrazzo has to miss time? Should they wait for her, or move forward with the title picture? Leave your feedback below.
