AEW’s Continental Classic is officially coming back, and Jon Moxley now knows when his next tournament run begins. After surviving last year’s field to leave Worlds End with the Continental Championship, Moxley will head into the 2026 edition with the title once again tied to the tournament.
AEW took to Twitter and announced on September 14 that this year’s Continental Classic will begin on the November 18 episode of Dynamite from the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.

That puts a date on one of the biggest stretches of AEW’s year, but the field itself remains the next big question. The Continental Classic has become a showcase for some of the company’s top wrestlers, with the round-robin format producing matchups that otherwise might not happen very often.
Moxley knows exactly how difficult that road can get. At Worlds End 2025, Kazuchika Okada defeated Konosuke Takeshita in one semifinal while Moxley fought through Kyle Fletcher in the other. Moxley even broke a tooth during his match with Fletcher before advancing to face Okada later that same night.
That gave AEW a first-time singles match between Moxley and Okada in the final. Moxley ultimately came out on top to win the Continental Championship, with the Death Riders joining him afterwards as he celebrated the victory.
Now he gets to do it all over again. The Continental Classic’s appeal has always been its unpredictability, with AEW putting major names into a tournament where every match matters and losses can completely change the standings. With another year of additions and changes to AEW’s roster since Moxley won the tournament, there are tons of new possibilities for the 2026 field.
AEW hasn’t announced Moxley’s opponents yet, but November 18 is now circled on the calendar. The Continental Champion will enter another Continental Classic knowing that everyone else in the field has the same destination he does.
