Danhausen knows exactly where he would have fit if WWE had dropped him into the middle of the Attitude Era — right alongside The Undertaker and his army of darkness.
While appearing alongside Liv Morgan for an IGN interview tied to WWE 2K26, Danhausen was asked which wrestling storyline he considers the GOAT that he wishes he could have been part of. For a guy who has spent years calling himself “very nice, very evil,” his answer wasn’t exactly a shocker. Danhausen went straight for The Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness and said his evil side would have made him a pretty natural addition to the group.
“Oh, the goat wrestling story that Danhausen wishes he could have been a part of, which is oh, I think Danhausen would have been quite nice in the Ministry of Darkness cuz I’m very evil.”
The Ministry of Darkness was one of WWE’s darkest creations during the Attitude Era. The Undertaker transformed into a much more sinister version of himself and surrounded himself with followers as he attempted to take control of WWE and destroy anyone standing in his way.
The group included names such as The Acolytes, Viscera and The Brood, with Paul Bearer at The Undertaker’s side. The Ministry didn’t just beat people up either. WWE went all-in on the creepy stuff, including sacrifices, kidnappings and The Undertaker abducting Stephanie McMahon before attempting to marry her in one of the most infamous angles of the entire Attitude Era.
Things got even crazier when The Ministry eventually merged with Shane McMahon’s Corporation to create The Corporate Ministry in 1999. The storyline ultimately revealed Vince McMahon as the mysterious “Higher Power” pulling the strings behind everything.
So yeah, throw Danhausen into that mess with his face paint, curses and obsession with being evil, and it’s not hard to understand why he thinks he would have fit right in. The comment also came as Danhausen celebrated finally getting into a WWE video game. During the same IGN appearance, he announced that he is making his WWE gaming debut in WWE 2K26 through Ringside Pass Season 5.
Danhausen never got the chance to stand next to The Undertaker while the Ministry was terrorizing WWE, but nearly three decades later, he’s already figured out exactly where he belonged. Considering everything that faction got away with on television, “very evil” Danhausen probably wouldn’t have needed much convincing to sign up.
