Dallas Edwards is officially back in the ring after a scary situation that had a lot of people worried.
The veteran referee announced that he has been medically cleared nearly three months after suffering a medical emergency during an Ohio Valley Wrestling event in March. Edwards was involved in a planned spot at the show when things suddenly turned serious, as he began convulsing in the ring and had to be taken to the hospital.
Doctors monitored Edwards for a possible concussion and brain bleed, and his recovery was not easy. Still, he gave fans the good news this week and confirmed that he is already back officiating matches.
“A great majority of people already caught wind, but I got fully cleared recently and am back to reffing! The recovery hasn’t been an easy one, but there have been some amazing people in my circle that went above and beyond to make sure that I wasn’t alone. You all know who you are.”
Edwards also made sure to thank everyone who supported him through the rough stretch. On top of being cleared, Edwards said he is also ready to resume his schedule and take more bookings.
“I want every one of you to know that I am eternally grateful for your love, and support through a really tough time.”
“With that being said, I will be resuming my schedule from before and taking additional bookings accordingly!!”
That is a big turnaround after such a frightening moment at OVW. Edwards had months of uncertainty after the incident, but now he is cleared, back to reffing, and ready to keep moving forward.
