The Creed Brothers came back looking for a fight during WWE NXT on September 1, 2026—and they didn’t waste any time making an impact.

Julius and Brutus Creed stormed the ring following the tag team match between Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno against Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux. It marked the brothers’ first appearance on NXT since Halloween Havoc on October 31, 2023.

Dar and Moreno had just picked up the victory after a chaotic finish. Van Dux connected with a frog splash on Dar before Legacy made a blind tag and attempted a springboard 450 splash. Dar raised his knees, caught Legacy on the landing and rolled him into a pin for the three-count.

The celebration didn’t last long. Julius and Brutus suddenly hit the ring and attacked Dar and Moreno. The brothers finished the assault by lifting Moreno for their Brutus Ball and powerbomb combination, leaving the former NXT Tag Team Champions standing tall.

The angle also wasn’t random. The Creeds defeated Legacy and Van Dux on the July 23 edition of WWE Main Event before beating Dar and Moreno on August 6. They followed that with another victory over BirthRight’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors on August 13, giving them three consecutive Main Event victories against NXT talent.

Julius and Brutus had been absent from WWE’s main weekly programs under their regular Creed Brothers presentation, but they remained active. They appeared under masks as Los Americanos Hermanos during the El Grande Americano storyline in May before returning to action as American Made on Main Event in July.

Ringside News previously noted that the Creeds had returned to action without being discussed as possible challengers for the WWE World Tag Team Titles. No verified explanation has been given for why they were kept away from RAW and SmackDown in their regular roles.

WWE now appears to have found a new direction for the former NXT Tag Team Champions. After months of working primarily on Main Event, Julius and Brutus returned to the brand where they first made their names and immediately targeted a team they had already defeated.
