WWE will finally debut Commander Azeez, who has previously only acted as Apollo Crews’ bodyguard at ringside. Azeez will get his hands dirty in a big way next week.

Next week Kevin Owens and Big E will take on Apollo and Commander Azeez in tag team action. This will mark Commander Azeez’s in-ring debut on SmackDown.

Azeez competed on Raw Underground as Dabba Kato. The former Babatunde was brought up to the Shane McMahon-led segment until it was cancelled. WWE didn’t want to run the risk of cross-contamination between brands so they nixed the Raw Underground segments.

After this match was made, Sami Zayn got in the ring and he took a Nigerian Nail. They are making Commander Azeez look very strong. We will have to see how he does in his in-ring debut next week.

What’d your take on Commander Azeez? Does his character have what it takes to make it? Sound off in the comments!
