If you tell Cody Rhodes that The Miz can’t wrestle, don’t expect a debate. Expect to get thrown out of the conversation.

Speaking on his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast, Rhodes completely unloaded on one of wrestling’s oldest arguments this week, making it crystal clear that he’s sick of hearing people dismiss one of WWE’s most decorated stars. As far as the American Nightmare is concerned, if you’re still questioning The Miz in 2026, you’re the problem.

“Anytime somebody sits with me and tells me, ‘Oh, I don’t think Miz is a good wrestler,’ get the fk out of here. You! Get the f*** out of here.”

That wasn’t the end of it. Rhodes doubled down by pointing to everything The Miz has already accomplished, arguing that people are far too obsessed with one style of wrestling while ignoring everything else it takes to succeed in WWE.

“Because he’s done it, right? And it’s all different types. It’s fun, variety, entertainment. It’s the wrestling, wrestling. If you can do it, and you did it once, you can do it again…”

It’s the kind of endorsement The Miz has spent years earning. For more than two decades, he’s been mocked, doubted and written off by parts of the wrestling fanbase, yet he keeps stacking accolades while outlasting generation after generation of talent. World titles, WrestleMania main events, reality television, talk shows—The Miz has done just about everything WWE has asked of him.

Rhodes clearly thinks the debate should’ve ended years ago. The timing is also interesting. The Miz is currently wrapped up in one of WWE’s strangest storylines on SmackDown, where he and Kit Wilson were zapped by one of Danhausen’s bizarre inventions and seemingly forgot who they are.

No matter how ridiculous the storyline gets, though, don’t expect Cody Rhodes to tolerate anyone pretending The Miz isn’t one of WWE’s most accomplished performers.

Do you agree with Cody Rhodes, or do you still think The Miz doesn’t get enough credit inside the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
