WWE is bringing CM Punk to Worlds Collide. And of all the dates and cities they could have picked, Punk will be part of the WWE x AAA show in Chicago on the exact same day AEW runs All Out in the area.
WWE took to Twitter and confirmed Punk’s involvement on August 13 while revealing his schedule through the end of October. The company is celebrating 20 years of Punk and even rolled out a special ticket promotion for the occasion.

Buried inside that schedule was September 26: WWE x AAA Worlds Collide at Allstate Arena. That date was already worth watching. WWE announced the second Worlds Collide after the first WWE and AAA crossover became a major digital success. This time they’re heading to Chicago, and they’re doing it on the same Saturday AEW brings All Out to the Chicago area.
Now Punk is involved too. That’s a pretty loaded name to add to this particular piece of counterprogramming. Punk spent two turbulent years in AEW before his 2023 firing, and Chicago was once one of the cities most closely associated with his run there. Three years later, WWE is putting him on its competing show.
What Punk will actually do remains a mystery. WWE hasn’t announced an opponent, and his inclusion on the schedule doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll wrestle. But his presence is official. WWE and AAA were already going directly against All Out on September 26. Now WWE is bringing CM Punk with them—and they’re doing it in Chicago.
