CM Punk is not easing back into WWE life. He is jumping right into the full grind.
Punk returned on Raw this week and defeated Sami Zayn to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion. Now WWE has him locked in for a full run of live events through the end of August, giving fans plenty of chances to see the new top champion on the road.
Punk posted on his Instagram Stories that he will be working all 13 WWE house show dates scheduled between now and the end of August. He is also advertised for every upcoming SmackDown now that he is holding the brand’s top title.
That is a big workload for Punk, especially after he had been away since the Raw after WrestleMania 42. Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but he wasted no time getting back to gold after beating Zayn on Raw.

- Saturday, July 11 — Pan American Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico
- Sunday, July 12 — The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico
- Thursday, July 16 — PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania
- Saturday, July 25 — Adventist Health Arena in Stockton, California
- Sunday, July 26 — Dignity Health Arena in Bakersfield, California
- Thursday, July 30 — Bank of Springfield Center in Springfield, Illinois
- Thursday, August 6 — EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia
- Thursday, August 13 — SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire
- Thursday, August 20 — Canada Life Place in London, Ontario, Canada
- Saturday, August 22 — Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
- Sunday, August 23 — Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada
- Saturday, August 29 — Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia
- Sunday, August 30 — North Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, South Carolina
WWE has ramped up its live event schedule again this summer, with the idea being to get more talent, especially younger names, valuable reps on the road. Having Punk on those shows gives WWE a major name to sell tickets with while also putting its current Undisputed WWE Champion in front of live crowds every week.
Punk’s next big stop could be SummerSlam in Minneapolis this August. The current plan is believed to be CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship, which would put Punk right back in one of WWE’s biggest matches of the year.
Punk is back, he has the title, and WWE is clearly putting him to work. Now fans will find out whether this run can hold up with the full road schedule attached to it.
