Chris Masters just put a longstanding wrestling rumor to bed — and he didn’t exactly hesitate when Tammy “Sunny” Sytch’s name came up.
While speaking to Hannibal TV, Masters was asked directly about the old rumor that something happened between him and the WWE Hall of Famer. His answer was about as clear as it gets.
“That’s not a rumor. That’s not a rumor.”
Masters then explained that he had been a big Sunny fan long before the two ever met. In fact, he said she was one of his all-time favorites and confirmed that the rumor about them was true.
“I loved Tammy as a fan growing up, and she was one of my all-timers. So, you know, I did end up — the rumor is true.”
Masters also made a point to explain that Sytch was in a much different place in her life when he knew her. He said she had things together at the time, before the personal and legal problems that came later.
“But I had her at a time where she was actually — well, she wasn’t a disaster when I met her. She kind of went that way off and on for the next decade or so.”
As for how it happened, Masters said he had been crushing on Sunny for years before finally meeting her — and the feeling was welcomed when they crossed paths.
“When I had first met her, she had her stuff together. I mean, I had had a crush on her for like 10 years before that, and she was very receptive. So, you know, what can you do?”
Masters didn’t spill every detail about what went down between them, but he didn’t leave much room for debate either. After years of rumors involving him and Sunny, Masters has now flat-out confirmed that there was truth behind the story.
