Chelsea Green has made one thing clear — WrestleMania 42 won’t include her in the ring, but she’s still planning to be part of the show in a different way.

While she continues recovering from injury, Green spoke to Esteban Ramirez on April 1, 2026 and addressed her status for WWE’s biggest event of the year. Rather than teasing a surprise return, she was upfront about where things stand.

“I think this WrestleMania is going to be absolutely insane — because it has to be. We have to put on a show like no other. So I’m really excited to watch it as a fan.”

That alone shows a shift from her usual on-screen presence. Instead of competing, Green confirmed she’ll be taking everything in from backstage — while still contributing in other ways.

“You know, I’ll be sitting there backstage watching every single match, doing as much press and media as I can to make sure those seats are filled and that everyone enjoys their time. So I’m really excited.”

The comments line up with her current situation, as she continues to recover and isn’t yet cleared for in-ring action. Even as the interviewer pointed out that she may miss out on WrestleMania moments inside the ring, Green leaned into the idea of staying involved however she can.

This reinforces what’s been seen on TV in recent weeks — Green is determined to stay visible and contribute, even without stepping between the ropes. But when it comes to WrestleMania 42, she’s officially watching from the sidelines.

Do you think Chelsea Green being absent from in-ring action at WrestleMania will hurt the show, or does her presence outside the ring still add value? Drop your thoughts below and leave your feedback.
