Life on the road has changed for Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona since Chelsea returned to WWE—and according to WWE Unreal Season 3, they’ve even had to figure out how to survive traveling together.
Chelsea admitted that spending so much more time with her husband has been an adjustment. While they now get to share flights, airports and work trips, she said keeping their relationship healthy means creating clear boundaries between work and their personal lives.
“Before he came back to WWE, I was maybe seeing him one week. I think that’s been the hardest part of him coming back, is that we get that time—the airport, on the plane, going to work. We have built-in time together, but I think we still have to work really hard on our relationship to make sure we have boundaries on work and play.”
One of the biggest challenges? They couldn’t be more different when it comes to hotels. Chelsea laughed while explaining that she likes a spotless room and needs plenty of sleep, while Cardona’s luggage tends to explode everywhere. She also joked that unlike her husband, she isn’t covering hotel rooms in layers of spray tan.
Chelsea Green: “We have to adjust. We are totally different travelers. I like my sleep. I love a clean hotel room.
Matt Cardona: “Yeah, my bag will explode.”
Chelsea Green: “I don’t need to put 17 layers of tanner on and destroy the hotel sheets and bathroom with the tanner. We have to adjust.”
That’s when Cardona came up with what he apparently thought was the perfect solution. Instead of sharing one room, he jokingly suggested getting two separate rooms so they could each do things their own way… and then booking a third room strictly for sex.
Matt Cardona: “I think we should go our separate ways—like have the two rooms. Have two rooms to do our thing, and then one to do our other thing, you know?”
Chelsea wasn’t about to let that comment slide. Without missing a beat, she fired back that Cardona wouldn’t be getting any of that “other thing” if he kept talking like that, before reminding him that she’s the one who’s been living this travel routine for years and has already been the one making compromises.
Chelsea Green: “He won’t get anything of the other thing if he keeps talking like that. I’m the one that’s been doing my routine for three years, so I’m accommodating.”
Matt Cardona: “I don’t get it at home anyway.”
The exchange turned into one of the lighter moments of WWE Unreal Season 3, giving fans a funny glimpse into how one of wrestling’s most entertaining couples balances married life while constantly traveling for WWE.
