Chelsea Green has revealed who she thinks is WWE’s biggest backstage “diva”—and she didn’t hesitate for a second before putting Damian Priest on blast.
Speaking to Inside the Ring, Green was asked which WWE Superstars take the longest to get ready before television tapings. After naming interviewer Cathy Kelly on the women’s side, she immediately turned her attention to Priest, joking that he’s become a regular in hair and makeup… despite not exactly being the intended customer.
Green laughed that Priest spends so much time getting camera-ready that he ends up taking over the chairs meant for the women’s roster—and she says she’s more than happy to call him out for it.
“Woman, I would say Cathy Kelly. She’s very nitpicky because she knows what she likes.”
As far as Green is concerned, nobody spends more time getting camera-ready than Damian Priest. She joked that he’s always getting “glammed up” before WWE shows, to the point where he takes over the hair and makeup chairs meant for the women. According to Green, she gives Priest a hard time about it backstage just as much as she does during interviews.
“Man? Damian Priest. Let me tell you something. Damian’s up there in hair and makeup getting all glammed when the hair and makeup chair is supposed to be for the girls. And I tell him that to his face. Like, why are you getting a blowout, bro? Please save some for the rest of us.”
That wasn’t the end of the teasing, either. After joking about Priest’s lengthy beauty routine, Green summed up his backstage reputation in just three words.
“So I’m not surprised. Damian is giving diva.”
Fortunately for Priest, the comments were clearly made in good fun, with Green poking fun at one of her fellow WWE stars rather than taking a serious shot at him. Still, if there’s ever a shortage of chairs in hair and makeup before RAW or SmackDown, Damian Priest might have some explaining to do.
