Charlotte Flair is stepping into something completely different outside the WWE ring. It wasn’t something she originally planned on doing either, but an opportunity came along and Flair decided to see where it takes her.

While speaking with Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story?, Flair explained that she has been trying new things as she continues growing outside her usual WWE role. One of those opportunities came through a company she invested in, which approached her with an idea she hadn’t really considered before.

“So this is also part of me. It’s like I’m also growing as a person, taking this challenge on, because I didn’t wake up one day and was like, ‘I want a podcast.’”

Flair explained that the idea came through a self-care company she had invested in as an angel investor. When they asked whether she would be interested in doing a podcast, Flair agreed despite having no idea whether she would actually be good at it.

“It was the company I invested in. The self-care is for everyone to be an angel investor. And they were like, ‘Hey, would you do this?’”

So awesome. So I’m like, ‘I’m not promising that I’m going to be good at it, but I’ll do it.’”

Later in the conversation, Charlotte Flair finally revealed what the new project is called. Her podcast will be titled Off the Pedestal, and she has already started recording episodes.

Stephanie McMahon: “I know you’re launching your own podcast.”

Charlotte Flair: “Yes.”

Stephanie McMahon: “For sure you should.”

Charlotte Flair: “Off the Pedestal.”

Flair apparently has bigger plans than simply recording an episode or two to see how things go. She originally wanted to have ten episodes finished before October, although she admitted she was sitting at four when she spoke with McMahon.

Charlotte Flair: “I wanted to get 10 episodes done before October.”

Stephanie McMahon: “How many have you shot?”

Charlotte Flair: “Four.”

There’s no word yet on exactly when Off the Pedestal will launch or what every episode will look like, but Flair has already put enough work into it that this clearly isn’t just an idea sitting on a whiteboard. After years of fans mostly hearing from Charlotte Flair through the lens of WWE, Off the Pedestal could give them a much different version of the woman behind The Queen.
