Charlotte Flair Says She and Ric Flair Fight About His Social Media Every Day

Charlotte Flair says dealing with Ric Flair’s social media has become a daily part of their relationship, and the two apparently argue about what he posts all the time.

While speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story, Charlotte was asked how her father is doing. She said Ric is doing well, but immediately brought up the constant back-and-forth over his online activity.

“The amount that we fight about his social media, I cannot tell you. It is a daily thing. And then I’m like, why are you in all caps? Why are you yelling at me in your post?”

Charlotte said many of those arguments start after Ric sees something online and decides to react to it. She often finds herself trying to figure out who he’s even upset with before questioning where the information came from.

“I’m like, who are you fighting with? I’m just confused. He’s like, well, I saw it here. And I’m like, seven people follow that website.”

AI-generated images have created another headache. Charlotte said she regularly has to explain to Ric that photos he sends her aren’t actually real, including fake images showing him with people he was never with.

“I have to tell him daily, that AI image is not real. He has sent me pictures of him and other people, and I’m like, that didn’t happen. That is not real. I told you this happened. I can’t make this up.”

Charlotte also picks her spots when it comes to publicly responding to Ric. If she thinks a post is especially bad, she would rather stay out of the comments than help draw more attention to it.

“I comment sometimes, but if it’s really bad, I won’t comment because I don’t want to draw attention. Sometimes I just have to make a joke out of it.”

Her approach changed somewhat after a conversation with Natalya about Ric and Bret Hart. Natalya reminded her that Ric has been around the wrestling business long enough to have earned the right to share his opinions, even if Charlotte doesn’t always agree with the way he does it.

“She was talking about Bret, and I was talking about my dad, and we were just yapping back and forth. And she was like, you know what, he’s earned that right to have an opinion. I was like, okay, that’s one way to look at it. I’ll just let him have his opinion.”

Charlotte knows much of Ric’s posting comes from being protective and supportive of her. Still, she has absolutely no interest in taking control of his account herself. When asked whether she wanted his login information, Charlotte made that clear.

“I don’t want that responsibility.”

Ric gave Charlotte another reason to watch his timeline days later when he weighed in on comparisons between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega’s AEW World Championship match at All In: London and his classic matches with Ricky Steamboat. The post drew plenty of attention, with Jim Ross later calling it unnecessary on Grilling JR.

At this point, Charlotte seems to have accepted that Ric Flair posting whatever is on his mind is part of the package. She may not want his password, but between the all-caps posts, questionable websites and AI photos, she’s clearly spending plenty of time trying to keep the Nature Boy grounded in reality.
