Cathy Kelley is finally addressing the growing speculation about a possible WWE in-ring role after her rough collision during the April 13 episode of RAW.

The WWE broadcaster found herself caught in the middle of a brawl when Liv Morgan attacked Stephanie Vaquer during an interview segment. The chaos sent Vaquer crashing into Kelley, who was driven into the turnbuckles and later helped to the back. While WWE confirmed Kelley was okay, the incident immediately led to questions about whether it could lead to a storyline involving her.

Now, Kelley has offered her most direct comments yet on the possibility of stepping into a WWE ring. While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Kelley was asked whether the Liv Morgan incident could turn into something bigger.

“I feel like that is just a workplace hazard, and I’m normally pretty good about getting out of the way. Who’s to say if it will turn into something?”

When Van Vliet suggested she could potentially get involved physically, Kelley didn’t completely shut the door, as she said, “Maybe.” However, when asked directly whether she wants to wrestle a match, Kelley made it clear that competing in the ring is not her primary goal.

“I don’t think I would want to have a match. I’ve expressed in the past that I do want to get more involved in some capacity. I would love to be a manager—I don’t know who for. That’s been something that I’ve said for probably a decade now.”

Kelley then revealed that she has already had experience in that type of role, recalling an appearance from years ago before joining WWE: “I actually valeted Ryan Katz in his last match on the indies many, many years ago. But that progression is something that I would want.”

Her comments come after reports stated that she had spent time training at the WWE Performance Center. While some fans viewed that as a sign she could eventually wrestle, Kelley explained that her motivation was more about learning every aspect of the business than preparing for matches.

“I mean, I would say that I’m someone that really values growth, and I love learning everything that I can about this business. So any opportunity that I can do that, I’m going to take it.”

Kelley also admitted she already knows firsthand how painful the wrestling ring can be: “I took bumps years ago. The ring then was not well padded, so those were not great feeling. But you know, I’ve said this before—like even running the ropes hurts.”

While the RAW incident immediately fueled speculation about a future wrestling storyline, Kelley’s latest comments suggest she is far more interested in becoming a manager than stepping into the ring for a match. She isn’t completely ruling anything out, but for now, her focus appears to be on expanding her role within WWE rather than becoming an active competitor.
