Carmella decided to give herself a little cosmetic touch-up ahead of turning 39, but she’s already wishing she could take this one back. The former WWE Superstar says a recent Botox lip flip has left her struggling to properly move her upper lip, and now she’s stuck waiting for the effects to wear off.

Speaking on her Hot Mom Sh*t podcast, Carmella revealed that she recently got Botox injected into her upper lip for a lip flip. She said she has occasionally had cosmetic work done over the years, including infrequent filler touch-ups, but she hasn’t really messed with her lips much lately.

“Oh, by the way, I’m digressing real quick. I got Botox in my lip. Why the hell did I do that? I’ve done it, like, occasionally over the years. I haven’t really touched my lips in years. I get, like, a touch-up filler maybe once a year, every year and a half. Don’t really touch my lips anymore.

And I got a little lip flip, which is like they put Botox in the top here to just kind of lift it up a little bit. I’m like, ‘I’m almost 39. Blah, blah, blah. Like, maybe I’ll just do a little something.’”

Unfortunately, the result wasn’t quite as subtle as Carmella expected. She believes she received a little more Botox than she normally would, and she quickly noticed that she couldn’t move her upper lip properly.

“And I don’t know. It’s like a little more than they normally do, and so I cannot move my lip. I’m like, ‘I feel so weird. I cannot, like, I can’t put my lip down.’ It’s f****** so annoying, and there’s nothing you can do. It’s not like filler where you can get it dissolved. You just have to wait it out.”

That’s the part that seems to be driving Carmella absolutely crazy. Since she believes there’s no quick way of reversing the effects, she said she has been constantly moving her lips in hopes of getting the Botox to wear off faster, although she admitted she doesn’t actually know whether that will work.

“So, like, all day I’m putting my lips together, trying to, like, wear it out, because I heard if you move it more, it kind of fades faster, but I don’t know.”

Carmella believes she could now be waiting months before her upper lip feels normal again. She made no attempt to hide how irritated she is with herself for deciding to get the procedure in the first place.

“Now I have to wait four months to be able to move my lip again, and I’m so f****** annoyed. Why did I do that?”

She also wanted viewers watching the video version of her podcast to know why she might sound or look a little different. And after her own experience, Carmella had a pretty simple piece of advice for anybody thinking about getting the same procedure.

“Anyway, I’m just letting you know in case I talk weird or look funny here on YouTube. It’s my lip. It’s f****** annoying, and I regret it. Don’t get a lip flip, guys. Don’t do it.”

Carmella certainly wasn’t trying to hide the fact that she gets cosmetic work done, but this particular experiment clearly didn’t work out the way she hoped. For the time being, she’ll apparently have to deal with the frustrating side effects while waiting for her lip movement to return to normal.
