Carmella is calling out the fake fantasy version of motherhood that keeps taking over social media.
The former WWE star, whose real name is Leah Van Dale, ripped into the perfectly curated mom content that dominates Instagram, saying it has almost nothing to do with what real parenting actually looks like.
During a new episode on her YouTube channel, Carmella said she is tired of seeing spotless houses, flawless outfits, and children who somehow never get dirty. According to her, that version of motherhood simply does not exist.
“There’s no real depiction of normal motherhood anywhere. Like not in movies, not on TV shows, not in reality TV, not on social media. And it’s like stressing me out if I’m being completely honest.”
She then took direct aim at the aesthetic-driven mom content that has exploded online.
“You see this perfectly curated feed, this perfectly curated corner of the internet of, you know, moms out there and just showing like their aesthetic outfits and their beautiful homes and their kids in like beige outfits.”
Carmella wasn’t buying it. She joked that her own son has absolutely no interest in helping maintain some influencer-approved color palette.
“I would die if my kid would actually stayed in his nice clean beige outfit, but like that’s not gonna happen. He wants to wear Toy Story. He wants to wear Woody. He wants to wear like these crazy colors.”
For Carmella, that’s the bigger issue. She believes social media keeps selling mothers a polished version of parenting while hiding the messy reality that most families are actually dealing with every day.
Instead of perfectly coordinated outfits and spotless kitchens, Carmella says real motherhood looks a lot more chaotic. And judging by her reaction, she’s getting tired of pretending otherwise.
