Candice Michelle is not finished with professional wrestling just yet—and the former WWE Women’s Champion is getting closer to stepping back inside the ring for TNA.

While speaking on One of a Kind with RVD, Michelle was asked whether she would consider having one more match in TNA. She revealed that the comeback idea hit her immediately after she returned to the company as an agent.

Michelle said she stood near the ring during her first day back and instantly knew she wanted to wrestle again. However, she has no interest in returning just to chase another championship or collect a quick payday.

“For me, when I went back to TNA, the first day as an agent, I just stood by the ring, and I knew I wanted to go back in the ring. I also knew I didn’t want to just—it’s not like I just want to go for a title run. For me, I want to go with purpose.”

Michelle explained that she first needed to understand her new backstage position, connect with the current TNA locker room and rediscover who she is before deciding what another match should look like.

“I needed to rediscover who I was. I needed to discover how to be an agent, and I had to learn that, learn this new family, find my way there and rediscover myself. What does that look like in one more match?”

The 47-year-old wrestling veteran admitted that she is still working through that process, but the possibility of another match is becoming more real. She also knows that taking her first bump after so many years away will not feel good.

“I’m still in that process, and it’s getting closer. It’s exciting, and it’s really great when it scares the hell out of you because I don’t know what the first bump is going to feel like, but I know it’s going to hurt.”

Michelle last competed in a full-time wrestling role many years ago, but she made it clear that walking away without testing herself again could leave her with a major regret.

“I would regret never stepping into the ring, so I’m just trying to create the right opportunity. What does that look like, and how can I give back to the business and TNA the best way I can?”

Michelle is not promising a championship run or even confirming an opponent yet. What she is saying is that another match is moving closer, and she wants it to mean something when the time finally comes.
